Plaqode
Plaqode is a unified SaaS platform that connects digital profiles, physical marketing assets, and event ticketing under a single digital identity.

About The Project
Commissioned as an enterprise SaaS platform, we built Plaqode as a distributed system of specialized micro-apps. This structure allows users to build a digital business card, host an upcoming networking event, and generate trackable marketing QR codes, all from the same dashboard without needing to migrate data or manage separate logins.
Projects Challenge
Professionals usually have to rely on fragmented tools. A typical business might use Linktree for their bio link, a random website for QR codes, and Eventbrite for ticketing. This creates messy analytics, disjointed user experiences, and redundant subscriptions. Plaqode was built to consolidate these features into one platform.

Key Features
Plaqode is highly modular. The platform acts as the central hub, while the individual products run as independent services to ensure high availability.
Plaqode Profiles: A drag-and-drop builder for creating digital business cards and micro-landing pages right in the browser, replacing static paper cards with easily updatable digital links.
Plaqode QR: An engine that generates dynamic, customizable QR codes. Users can update the destination URL after printing the code and track detailed scan analytics to measure their marketing efforts.
Plaqode Events: An event management tool handling discovery and ticketing, bundled with a progressive web app (PWA) that allows event organizers to scan and validate guest tickets at the door.
Engineering Architecture
The core value of Plaqode is its underlying architecture, distributed across 9 distinct Next.js frontends and Fastify APIs.
Stateless Identity Provider (SSO):
We built a custom Fastify microservice to handle authentication using RS256 JWT tokens. By setting cross-subdomain cookies and defining specific user roles, the system allows users to log in once and access the entire ecosystem without delay.
Browser-Based Canvas Engine:
We used WebGL and HTML5 Canvas via react-konva for the Plaqode Profiles editor. It includes automatic scaling with ResizeObserver, snapping guidelines, and uses 'immer' for immutable state updates, creating a design experience similar to Figma directly in the browser.
High-Throughput Telemetry API:
To prevent the analytics engine from slowing down the frontend, we routed Plaqode QR scans through a dedicated Fastify and PostgreSQL backend. It uses nanoid for shortlinks and logs scan data in the background, ensuring fast redirects for the end user.
